Home Renovations
Serving the DMV for 25 years

Phoebe was recommended to my mother and me by one of her prior customers. My mother’s home was built in 1969 and was completely original except for kitchen appliances and kitchen floor. Our project was to completely renovate three bathrooms, master bedroom, kitchen, and entry hallway. After our initial consultation, we knew Phoebe would be perfect to work with given her design ideas and flexibility in understanding my mother wanting to remain in the house during renovations. The two second floor bathrooms were completely gutted down to studs and floor and ceiling joists. All plumbing and electrical were replaced and the outcome was exceptional. Completely new bathrooms that look modern and fresh and are a huge transformation from their original state. Phoebe guided us in selecting tiles, vanities and tub/shower that make the small bathrooms look luxurious despite their size. The master bedroom was also refreshed at Phoebe’s suggestion and came out great. The kitchen was started after the top floor bathrooms were complete. Everything was replaced and a new large island was installed. The cabinet color combination along with the countertop, backsplash, and floor makes the kitchen look modern but fits well with the time-period of the house. With all new appliances and island chairs suggested by Phoebe, the kitchen never fails to impress visitors and those that see before and after pictures. It looks modern with understated elegance and a timeless design. A completely renovated powder room and hallway rounded out this project. We highly recommend Phoebe and her team. Phoebe’s design ideas along with her conscientious team delivered a great renovation that came out better than we had envisioned, on time and within budget. T. We have worked with Phoebe Millon on multiple renovation projects in our home over the years and she and her team have recently finished a new hall bathroom, an office renovation, family room, living room and our boys bedroom. She is currently doing a full renovation of our basement including all new electrical, upgrading panel and lighting updates, new insulated walls and flooring, and as always, all furnishing and material selections. She has beautiful style and a keen eye for design. Phoebe thankfully moved back to the DMV area after living and designing in Rome for several years. She has completed a wide range of projects in the DC area with her Home Improvement Contractors license, so she’s well-versed in contractors and permit needs. Phoebe is professional and talented and on top of that vivacious and personable! We highly recommend her! A. Hucker Stockton Road, Silver Spring, MD 2024-current
Phoebe Millon and her terrific team transformed my back yard/garden into another realm. From her superb design inception to the job completion, it was a great pleasure to work with them. Entirely new electrical system installed plus new lighting fixtures; great suggestions for plantings; attachment to walls of decorative antique ironwork; careful refitting and power washing of the pavement stones; new elegant storage containers designed and built; retractable canopy incorporated; antique fountain mounted on wall—these are just some of their transformative endeavors. Careful, respectful, timely, thoughtful and efficient are adjectives I'd apply. In short—great design, great work, on time and on budget! Faya Causey September, 2024
This summer, Phoebe and her amazing crew transformed our run-down, neglected back porch and deck into a stunning backyard paradise. They meticulously sanded down and refinished the floors, screens and stairs that we thought were left beyond repair by kids and dogs, then she brightened the space with light, bright colors to showcase my plants and furniture. The back deck, formerly held together with bungee cords and prayers, is completely rebuilt, much of it with refurbished wood to save us money. Her team's craftsmanship and fresh design created a showpiece that makes the yard look like a gorgeous getaway. I would highly recommend Phoebe and her crew for their meticulous work, eye for detail and extra efforts to create a space more beautiful than we ever imagined. All done on time and on budget. Phoebe and her team helped renovate and finish two private work spaces including design layout, finishes, building walls and installing doors. The spaces are much improved. I highly recommend Phoebe and her skilled team members. Reliable and efficient! Regina R., Spring 2024
Phoebe Millon is a joy to work with! Phoebe renovated our previous law-center office space in downtown DC two years ago and of course we asked her to continue to be our design consultant for our new office space this Summer (2024), working with our team including the new building’s technical director. We have again relied on Phoebe for all our material selections including Kitchen cabinetry and counter finishes, flooring, lighting, art display shelving and finally paint selections throughout. We are very grateful for her professionalism and her reliability. We are beyond pleased with our new beautiful, efficient, and updated office! NHLC J Hartenstein Spring 2024
After buying an apartment in a grand old coop building in DC, I wanted to give it the style I had in mind: I wanted a classic but distinctive look, befitting the architecture. I had no idea how to begin, so I asked Phoebe to help me. She was the perfect person for the task. She respected my aesthetic aims, and together, we came up with a short list of projects to do within my budget. I wanted strong colors, and she went out of her way to find just the right ones, even though some of them might seem risky. She tested out different colors on large boards and this process yielded the bold but beautifully appropriate rooms I wished for. For window treatments, we interviewed different people and identified someone who would work with us to find equally original complements to the room colors. I wanted to find my own fabric, being extremely picky. Phoebe helped steer me in the right directions, but respected my individual tastes. We repeated that process with lights and fixtures. As a result, I felt that I was able to achieve what I wanted while Phoebe found ways to get it all done, finding and managing painters, electricians, handymen, etc. In short, I appreciate beyond measure that Phoebe was sensitive to my exacting goals, and that she made it all happen without my having to worry about the logistics—all during a time when workmen were in great demand and the supply chain jammed because of the pandemic. Somehow, Phoebe found workarounds and never got discouraged. It was a joy to work with her. V. Porter Washington, D.C.
Design Consultation: Multi-purpose Home Office I recently had a virtual design consultation to discuss an unusual office space with multiple doors and windows, differing ceiling heights, and not a lot of wall space. Phoebe and her colleague envisioned the space right away, and with 3D drawings and ideas helped me visualize and plan for a multi-purpose office and reading area that transformed the way we thought of the space. Without any structural changes, she turned a hallway into a warm, inviting room. Besides furniture and built-in suggestions, she also has an eye for color, decor and, sometimes overlooked, lighting. I would highly recommend Phoebe’s services... she is a multi-level talent, a great listener, and a pleasure to work with. E. Stapleton Massachusetts
Phoebe, PCM Design Studio, has beautifully renovated 2 floors in our house. Phoebe renovated with great attention to detail our two full bathrooms —both materials and design—are incredible. The work was done on time and within budget with great care and consistency. Perfect! A. Gram Project Price: $50,000 - $100,000 Washington, DC
I was fortunate to have Phoebe Cervigni Millon as the architect for designing the renovation of my late 19th-century apartment in Rome. The design work was beautifully in keeping with the details of the style and period of the building as well as the surrounding environ, including Roman ruins and "modern" 15th-century church. In executing the work, Phoebe was fundamental in coordinating with the building company and sub-contractors (in Italian). She is a treasure! J. Armstrong Rome, Italy
Phoebe went (and still goes) above and beyond. We hired Phoebe for design and build of our basement renovation. She was great in all phases—endless patience with us during the design phase; always prompt and ready with explanations and recommendations, and no question was too elementary. She not only provided excellent designs but she then managed the build—on time and on budget. We had several house-related issues that had nothing to do with the project—and Phoebe was always there to answer the call, source the vendor, or pester the contractor as necessary. Our renovation was done right and by the book. We were so pleased with the final product—she cares deeply about her clients and her work. We continually recommend her for both design and build, and would happily use her again. L. Engel Project Price: $50,000 - $100,000 Washington, DC
